Building and maintaining a bespoke marketing website for Span

Webflow Development
Maintenance

Span wanted to put their website on a higher level by a fresh redesign and migration from Squarespace to Webflow. Their in-house team go assigned for a redesign, but they needed an expert Webflow developer to be there from the start and set the website up for success.

About Span

SPAN creates products to enable electrification for all. They reimagined the 100-year-old electrical panel to ready your home for electrification upgrades like solar, home battery, and EV charging equipment.

The scope

I was hired as a Webflow expert to build new website based on the designs provided by team at SPAN, and to advise on how to transition from Squarespace in the best possible way. The development included 7 main pages, several utility and some legacy pages. The designs weren’t finalized yet, so we worked in a collaborative manner in hindsight of the deadline.

Moving from Squarespace

SPAN wanted to move from Squarespace for multiple reasons - to have better control over their website, to be able to collaborate and update their website easier and to make their website faster and more accessible. I had to transfer the CMS system, make sure all links and redirects are still active after the move, and take into consideration all integrations and specifics of the platform.

Maintenance

Once the redesigned website was built, we began working on additional subpages, CMS structure and overall website improvements. At this point, we were still using a simple Typeform lead form, which we wanted to switch for a different integrated solution. I created A/B and split tests, geo-targeted sections and overall works with the team on optimizing the website for conversion.
